Fulton Books author Barbara Ann Munster, who grew up in an extended family while living in the Bay Area of California, has completed her most recent book "Developing Values: Go Forth with Courage": an encouraging and effective self-help book that highlights the fractionalized nature of the world today, emphasizing the impact of many things always vying for one's attention.

This invigorating work explores conundrums such as how to choose where to devote one's time and attention, what groups to join, how to discover one's core values, and more.

Barbara tackles complex questions, such as, "What values do you hold dear?" and "How can we live together in a community with constant change?" The work guides readers through an explanation of her life to explore how she became aware of her basic values, examined them, and began to change ideas to fit the current world. She shares what influencing factors affected her from childhood to adulthood to be an example of a way to examine one's own truths.

Author Barbara Ann Munster raised three children and graduated with a B.A. in Psychology, an M.A. in Public Administration, and an M.A. in Holistic Studies. She is certified as a spiritual director, an energy healer, and an open space technologist. Her first career focused on developing and directing programs—serving the mentally and emotionally challenged. Her second career focused on creating stained glass windows and oil paintings, as well as writing.

From the time she was a teenager, Barbara has volunteered in community programs, including Migrant Ministries, teaching English, Habitat for Humanity, Volunteers in medicine, Central Oregon Independent Living Program, and Cascade Chorale. She served as president of the Castro Valley/Hayward Rotary, Widgi Creek Homeowners Association, CORIL, and Bend Habitat for Humanity.

Barbara introduces her work, writing, "I have been deeply concerned about the 'lack of values' we are experiencing in our communities. In the past, churches, families, and communities helped guide people as they matured. These groups have drastically lost their influence. Now the question remains, how do we move ahead with healthy, responsible families with life-giving values? Drastic changes are taking place in our lives, communities and in nature. Sometimes these changes are so complex that they seem overwhelming. The important factor to remember is that all we need to do is take one step, and the next step will unfold. Each of us is capable of taking one step toward making our world a better place. What we need now is to focus on the tools to make changes, and a belief that change is possible."

Published by Fulton Books, Barbara Ann Munster's book challenges readers to uncover what truly drives them in life and guides them on what to do with that discovery.

Readers who wish to experience this brilliant work can purchase "Developing Values: Go Forth with Courage" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play, or Barnes and Noble.
