Respondents cite reaching prospective members as the top hurdle to growing membership, with attracting younger members next in line.

NISSWA, Minn. - January 17, 2023 - (Newswire.com)

GrowthZone, provider of association management software, released its 2023 Association Industry Survey results.

Topics covered in the survey include challenges the organizations are facing, reinstatement strategies, and membership growth. The results showed several interesting trends impacting today's trade and professional associations.

"It's important for GrowthZone to hear what challenges association professionals are facing. It helps us improve our solutions to make their lives easier as they attempt to boost member value, increase productivity, and grow revenue," said John Cook, GrowthZone Senior Vice President of Marketing. "This is especially relevant when we hear growing membership, member engagement/retention of members, and revenue/budget/funding are what worries them most."

The survey report names lack of engagement as the reason association professionals say their members don't renew, yet 63% say member engagement was the same as the year prior, and 60% do not have a written plan for increasing member engagement.

The survey was conducted in the fourth quarter of 2022, by email and received responses from over 350 association professionals across North America.

In its 9th year, the Association Industry Survey Results Report has proven to be a popular association resource year after year.

Detailed survey findings can be accessed on GrowthZone.com.
